On January 4th, 2012, the Southern Arizona Chapter of the National Guild of Hypnotist in conjunction with the Arizona Society for Professional Hypnosis will celebrate World Hypnotism Day here in Arizona.
World Hypnotism Day, January 4th, was established by the National Guild of Hypnotists to help educate the general public about the truth and benefits that the timeless and natural process of hypnotism has to offer anyone. Movies and books of fiction have warped the perception of hypnosis, which is why World Hypnotism Day is a necessity in order for more people to understand the truth, and use this natural, expedient and effective process for personal change. This year’s event is even recognized in the form of official Mayoral Proclamations all throughout the state.
On World Hypnotism Day, hypnotism professionals around the world combine their efforts presenting free and low cost events in their respective areas to promote hypnotism and help the general public become more aware of hypnosis and the benefits it offers any individual desiring personal change. This year’s event will take place at all five Bookman’s Used Books Locations in Arizona. The five Bookman’s stores are scattered throughout Arizona with three stores in Tucson representing Southern Arizona, two stores in the Phoenix Metro Area and one in Flagstaff representing Northern Arizona. Each location will host a presentation about Hypnosis and is open to the public at no cost to attend. There will be only one presentation at each location on January 4th, so check with the individual stores for presentation times. The presentations will last between 45-60 minutes and will describe what hypnosis is and is not, dispel some of the myths about hypnosis, and offer anyone who is interested a chance to experience hypnosis in the form of a brief group demonstration. The presenters for the Bookman’s locations are Michael C. DeSchalit, Dr. Edwin Bebee, David Harrod, Sandi Graves, Don Rice and William Regner. They are all members of the National Guild of Hypnotists with over one hundred combined years of experience in the field. The presenters will be more than happy to answer any questions from the audience pertaining to Hypnosis and it’s use.
